Tiger Balm

This was shot for a class assignment. The requirements were to photograph a product and then one of it being used, with skin. The product had to be toned exactly the same and shot in different locations.
Just in case: Tiger Balm is a Chinese relaxer similar to like Icy Hot, and works for joints and muscles and this particular product works for sinuses, like Vicks... with the exception of my Asian friends and teacher, no one has known what Tiger Balm is yet.

A Brooks evening

popcorn and little guy with a heart

I shot these for my digital colour managment class, last weekend. The assignment was titled "white with colour" and "black with colour." I thought it would be the other way around, but I found the black with colour harder to work with than the white. Looking at these now, I like the white with colour but the black with colour I think that I'll try shooting it again, one day, and try to photograph the whole manikin and play with the shot more. They are both a little boring for me... but I like them... but I look forward to rephotographing the little guy and heart.

Little India

I visited Little India in Artesia, CA., for the first time in Nov '08 and then went back practically every weekend over the next 2 months. Little India is the second largest Indian community in the United States and I am drawn to this cultural bubble in Los Angeles County. I was there not only to photograph the preservation of the Indian culture but also trying to show the mixing of cultures and how they affect the community around them and theirs is affected by being in the States.
I've posted a few of the images I liked.

This is just the beginning...
